Breaking my African Duck & a New Offering

Updated: Dec 22, 2018

Kotu Bridge, The Gambia

In the last week of November I took my first ever trip to Africa, to the west coast country of The Gambia. It's well known as a top destination for birders being both easily accessible from the UK by a 6 hour flight and relatively cheap - not to mention some amazing wildlife and scenery! I've included a few photos from my trip below.

I won't go into too much detail as that would spoil the other point of this post - my new offering.

Red-billed Hornbill

My first talk at the end of October was really successful and I enjoyed it so much that it's something I want to do more of. I'm therefore in the process of putting together a few other talks to offer to groups, whether birding or non-birding groups - including one on my recent trip to The Gambia!

Elegant Acraea

While I'm just getting started with talks my rates will be very cheap - just £30 plus travelling expenses at £0.20 per mile. If anyone wants to book me please use the "Contact Me" page to either get my email address or send me a message through the website. Full details of the talks available will be added shortly but includes "A Natural Obsession" (suitable for non-birders), A Year in the Life of a British Year Lister, The Gambia and British Columbia.
